ENERGO-PRO increases investments in Dobrich region by 60%

The CEO of ENERGO-PRO Varna Momchil Andreev met with the Mayor of Dobrich Yordan Yordanov regarding the company's investment program for the development of the electricity distribution network on the territory of the municipality in 2018. During the meeting, the priority projects for the Municipality of Dobrich were discussed, for the realization of which the company should provide the necessary electricity infrastructure.

In 2018, Elektrodistribuenie North, part of the ENERGO-PRO Varna group, will increase investments in the electricity distribution network in Dobrich region by more than 60%. Projects worth BGN 8.2 million are to be implemented. Of these, BGN 1.7 million will be invested in the territory of Dobrich municipality for upgrading the equipment of Nona substation, as well as 3 key power lines that provide electricity to tens of thousands of customers, in projects for reconstruction of the network, export of electricity meter panels, etc.

Within the year 2017 ENERGO-PRO invested 5.1 million leva in maintenance and development of the electricity distribution network in Dobrich region. 24% of them are projects implemented in the territory of Dobrich municipality — renovation of node station “Dobrich 2", the first stage of rehabilitation of substation “Nona”, which supply electricity to part of the city and nearby settlements, reconstruction of sections of the low-voltage network and new connections on the territory of the municipality.

The invested funds increased the quality of electricity supply on the territory of Dobrich municipality - the number of interruptions in the electricity distribution network in 2017 decreased by 30.77% compared to 2016, and the duration of unplanned outages in the same period — by 27.64%.

For easier and convenient customer service, for the fifth year in a row ENERGO-PRO Varna launched a campaign for organizing outsourced offices in small settlements, where residents can take advantage of the services of the electricity distribution and electricity supply company without having to travel to the nearest Customer Service Center. In 2018, 12 outbound offices are planned on the territory of Dobrich region, in which specialists of the company will receive residents of 110 small settlements.

The CEO of the electricity company raised the issue of the difficult condition of the Dobrich Plumbing and the increasing debt of the water supply company to ENERGO-PRO Sales.

During the meeting, the joint work of the company and the law enforcement agencies in Dobrich to counteract the theft of electricity was also discussed. In the last 5 years, 1603 cases of illegal consumption have been found in Dobrich district. 846 of them are on the territory of Dobrich municipality. 78 of the offenders have two or more registered violations each. In the period 2015-2017, 76 people were convicted on the territory of the district for illegal consumption of electricity, of which 4 were with effective sentences, 18 were on probation, and 53 people were punished with probation.

The meeting of the CEO with the Mayor of Dobrich is part of a series of initiatives of ENERGO-PRO Varna to actively cooperate with the local government and unite efforts to implement projects for the benefit of people living in North-East Bulgaria.
