ENERGO-PRO recovered more than 600 meters of stolen underground cable in the area of the village of Obrochishte, Dobrich region
Cable line provides backup power to thousands of households
Specialists of the power distribution company ENERGO-PRO Grids restored a section of an underground medium-voltage cable line with a length of 600 meters in the land of the village of Obrochishte, Dobrich region.
The 20 kilovolt cable line is a connection between two terminals of Albena substation and connects two substations, through which electricity is supplied to thousands of households and to the storage base of Albena resort complex. This cable provides a backup connection and in the event of an accident, it restores the electricity to the warehouse base and to the people in the villages of Obrochishte, Church, Rogachevo and Lyahovo, while the teams of the electricity distribution company eliminate the damage.
Recently, a 600-meter section of the cable was dug up and stolen, as a result of which the backup connection was cut off. This created a risk to the security of the electricity supply of consumers in the area, as it deprived them of the possibility of being powered by a backup circuit in the event of an accident on the main cable.
ENERGO-PRO Networks invested significant funds and time on the repair teams to restore the underground cable. In addition to causing financial damage to the company, the crime put at risk the security of the electricity supply of thousands of households in the four villages. Restoring the power line will provide a more reliable power supply to people and businesses in the area during the upcoming winter season.
