ENERGO-PRO starts the discontinuation of electricity supply to Dobrich and Shumen Plumbing

From tomorrow, September 29, the phased disconnection of the electricity supply of objects of the Dobrich water supply and Shumen water supply system will begin. For the period 09:00 — 11:00 hours, part of the administrative buildings of the two companies in the cities of Dobrich, Shumen, General Toshevo and Shabla will remain without power supply. The final measure is being taken according to the schedule already announced. The facilities providing the water supply will not be affected by the outage. The interruption of the power supply is necessary due to a debt of BGN 10.5 million for consumed electricity. Despite the commitment to cover the obligations, so far no payment has been made to the companies of the ENERGO-PRO Varna group. From September 30, the period of power outages increases, as well as an increase in the number of objects of plumbing companies that will be disconnected. The schedule can be canceled only upon full repayment of the obligations of both water supply companies. At the end of last week, ENERGO-PRO declared its readiness to cancel the shutdown of electricity supply to Dobrich and Shumen Plumbing in compliance with the agreement.

After dozens of compromises and signed rescheduling agreements over the years, which were not fulfilled by the Dobrich and Shumen Water Supply, ENERGO-PRO was forced to proceed with the final measure of planned interruption in order to avoid the accumulation of new obligations. The management of the electricity company strongly hopes that this time, after the intervention of the principal MRRB, the problem of paying off the accumulated debts will be resolved so that it can continue to carry out its operational activities normally in accordance with its licensing obligations.
