ERP North updates data on power delivered to its business customers
Electricity Distribution North has launched a campaign aimed at non-domestic customers to update the data on the provided power of objects connected to the electricity distribution network. The goal is to plan the development of the network according to the real needs of the business. The data on the supplied capacity and their management are of decisive importance for the quality supply of electricity. The company invites its customers by 31 December 2019 to confirm the capacity for each site or to provide updated data to the supplied capacity.
In parallel with the campaign, preparations are being made for a new way of pricing the service of providing access to the electricity distribution network in accordance with the provided and actually needed power. For the customers of Elektrodistribuenie Sever, the access price also exists as a component of the final sale price for the electricity distribution activity. The access price for non-residential customers should be approved by the EWRC and will apply from the beginning of the new pricing period, July 1, 2020. The access price for non-domestic customers will be calculated on the basis of the requested and provided power, and not as before for the electricity consumed. The new pricing method reflects both the ability of customers to use the power provided to them at any time and the obligation of ERP North to provide the same regardless of potential requests from other customers. This approach is already being applied by the other two large electricity distribution companies in the Republic of Bulgaria, as well as by network operators in other countries of the European Union, such as the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, etc.
Non-domestic customers of ERP North will receive notification letters for updating their data, after which, in case a change is required, they will have the opportunity until December 31, 2019 to request a procedure for increasing or decreasing capacity by email through a qualified signature or at the Company's Customer Service Centers.
Instructions on the procedures for increasing and decreasing power, applications for filling and a list of necessary documents are available on the website of Elektrodistribuenie Sever www.erpsever.bg in the section “Acquisition and purchase”.
