EPR North engages regional governors in North-East Bulgaria with the issue of making prosecutions

The management of EPR North held a number of meetings with the district governors in connection with the active campaign to prevent accidents on the electricity distribution network. The representatives of the company engaged the local government and forest farms with the issue of conducting surveys on the network in the districts of Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo, Targovishte and Shumen.
During the meetings, conflict terrain on overhead power lines passing through forest areas outside easement zones were discussed. They pose a risk to the security of electricity supply in the affected areas and create a risk of fires and interruptions in the supply of electricity to customers when trees and branches come into contact with overhead lines.
“The main goal of all of us is to work together to take preventive measures and prevent extreme situations that would in any way threaten the normal course of public life,” said Ivaylo Zdravkov, the regional governor of Veliko Tarnovo.
The actions of the EP North campaign were also supported by the local authorities in Shumen and Targovishte. District governors have united around the decision to quickly remove the dangerous trees so as not to repeat the crisis moment with a power outage from the end of last year.
Representatives of EPR North and forestry said that immediately after the meetings, experts from both sides will meet and discuss the most critical sections, after which they will be processed as soon as possible. The management of the electricity distribution company stressed that additional groups have been created to carry out preventive activities, which are equipped with modern equipment.
“All investments, both in human capital and technology, are to improve the performance of our employees, to better support the network we operate with. The ultimate goal is to provide a better service to our users”, commented Atanas Kolev, Chairman of the Management Board of ERP North.
