ERP North invested BGN 6 million in the electricity distribution network in Ruse district in 2019

Elektrodistribuenie Sever, part of ENERGO-PRO Varna group, invested 6 million leva in renovation and development of the electricity distribution network on the territory of Ruse district in 2019. So far, projects worth 4.3 million leva have been implemented, of which 2 million are in the municipality of Ruse. By the end of the year, activities for another 1.7 million in the construction of facilities, replacement of electricity meters and export of electricity meters are to be finalized.

In 2019, the company continues to invest in the development, renovation and modernization of the electricity infrastructure as an important prerequisite for attracting new investments in the field. At the beginning of the year, the final stage of the project for the construction of a new node station Iztok Ruse was completed, which was launched in 2018. Rehabilitation of Leventa substation has been carried out, key medium-voltage power lines connecting substations on the territory of the municipality have been renovated, air and low-voltage cable lines have been renewed. The equipment of the Gara Byala node station has been updated and telemechanics has been built, which allows remote control of the facility and significantly shortens the response time in the event of accidents.

The measures taken ensure more reliable electricity supply to households and businesses in the area and create conditions for the connection of new customers to the electricity distribution network.

Elektrodistribuenie Sever AD holds a license for the electricity distribution activity. The licensed territory of the company is nearly 30,000 sq. km and covers 9 administrative districts in North-East Bulgaria - Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Dobrich, Razgrad, Ruse, Silistra, Targovishte and Shumen. ERP North manages and maintains a power distribution network with a total length of 42,626 km and 26 substations.
