EPR North secures sections of overhead power lines in 12 villages in Dobrichko

Securing was carried out in areas with wind farms and nesting migratory birds
Elektrodistribuenie Sever invested BGN 26,000 in securing the overhead power grid supplying 12 villages in Dobrich region. The area features numerous wind turbines and is part of the Via Pontica bird flyway. Employees of the company installed 400 spacers that do not allow the wires of the power lines to come close to each other, as well as 230 bird protection facilities. Spacers ensure uninterrupted operation of overhead power lines (EVL) in bad weather conditions, as well as when landing a large number of birds on them, fixing them motionless or limiting their movement under external influence. By securing the overhead power lines, birds will be protected from being energized and the number of unplanned shutdowns will be minimized.
With the investment made, the electricity supply of customers in the village will be improved. Tsarichino, s. Gurkovo, s. Trigortsi, s. Visible, s. Irechek, s. Mogilishte, s. Vranino, s.
