EP North presented to experts from the Ministry of Energy the preparation of facilities for winter

Elektrodistribuenie Sever provided full assistance to the Ministry of Energy, which checked the readiness of the company's energy facilities for operation in the upcoming autumn-winter season. Inspections in the three ERPs and in the Electricity System Operator shall be carried out for the sixth consecutive year. The purpose of the inspection is to closely monitor the measures taken by the companies to limit the adverse consequences of damage to the electricity distribution network in bad weather conditions.

Representatives of the Ministry visited substations, substations and junction stations, sections of overhead power lines. The experts got acquainted on the spot with the activities carried out on the prevention of electrical power facilities. The emergency planning procedures, the condition of the specialized equipment, the equipment in the emergency vehicles, the equipment of the teams for working in winter conditions, the availability of documentation on technical operation and safety were checked.

The Electricity Distribution Company in North-East Bulgaria strives to respect its commitment to guarantee the reliable operation of the facilities. Every year in the investment and repair program of the company, rehabilitation facilities are installed and implemented, which increases the security of electricity supply. An important focus of the activities for the prevention of emergency situations immediately before the period of unfavorable climatic conditions and increased load is the prevention, which starts at the end of each summer. The technical fund of the ERP North shall be regularly updated in line with the need to ensure network maintenance activities. The company has specialized equipment for the timely detection and elimination of faults that have occurred, including an infrared camera to inspect the facilities.
