EPP North will receive additional assistance for clearing hard-to-reach sections in the areas of Gabrovo and Gorna Oryahovitsa
The company is committed to eliminating all accidents within the day
Snowmobiles, ATVs and other highly passable equipment will receive ERP North from the API and ESO for faster circumnavigation of the affected sections of the electricity distribution network. Due to the severe weather situation in recent days, dozens of remote settlements have had difficulties with electricity supply. ESO will provide assistance for the restoration of torn wires on overhead power lines between Gabrovo and Dryanovo. It relies on specialized machinery to clear the road from fallen trees. Near the village of Bankovtsi there are five broken pillars, access to which is difficult. There is a tour with UTV along the VEL Bankovtsi in the area of the town hall Kozi Rog, VEL Bedek 2 in the area around the village of Chakali.
More than 100 teams continue to work on the elimination of accidents on the electricity distribution network in the field. Teams of subcontractors of the company are also involved in the work. EPR North is in continuous contact with the local authority and emergency headquarters in places. Accidents are eliminated, but secondary ones arise from the heavy snow and ice on the wires.
The difficult to access mountainous and rugged terrain in some of the affected areas makes it difficult for employees to access and delays the remediation activities at the facilities. An additional challenge for the work of the teams is low temperatures, heavy wet snow and accumulated drifts in some sections. The meteorological situation remains dynamic, especially in some areas of Gabrovo region. The committed teams of the electricity distribution company will continue to work until the full restoration of electricity supply to all settlements left without electricity due to the complicated winter situation.
