EP North launches joint meetings with regional governors within the campaign for making prosecutions

The leadership of EPR North held a meeting with the regional governor of Gabrovo Maria Basheva, at which a decision was made to cooperate with the regional forestry on marking of dangerous trees. This is the first of a series of meetings with the regional governors of Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo, Targovishte and Shumen, initiated in connection with a preventive campaign for construction and maintenance of air power lines. Its purpose is to ensure a stable power supply during the autumn-winter season and to limit emergency power line interruptions due to fallen trees and broken branches.

For the successful implementation of the preparation of surveys, ERP North relies on the support of local authorities and regional forest farms. After the already made field inspections, vegetation was found outside the easement zones, as well as conflict zones on overhead power lines passing through forest areas. This poses a risk to the security of the power supply of customers in the affected areas and creates a risk of fires when trees and branches come into contact with overhead lines.

This year, the energy company is expanding the scope of activities for trimming and cleaning vegetation on power lines and for this purpose the company has increased the planned costs in equipment and equipment to more than 10% of its investment program. One of the most modern machines for cleaning sieves was purchased. Sufficient resources of people and specialized equipment are also provided in order to be able to carry out searches of the maximum number of power lines from the electricity distribution network.

Meetings with local authorities in Veliko Tarnovo, Targovishte and Shumen districts are to be held.
