The “backbone” of the electricity distribution network supplying the area of Asparuhovo district has been restored

Today at 4 pm the power supply was restored and at the last medium voltage outlet failed in the Asparuhovo district of Varna, the worst affected by yesterday's storm.

As of 9 o'clock this morning, the outage resulted in 14 medium voltage terminals powering over 16,000 customers per sq. Asparuhovo, sq. Galata, v.z. Borovets, v.z. Rakitnika, s. Dolishte. As a result of the unremitting efforts of the company's specialists, only a few hours later, the power supply along all medium-voltage power lines in the area was restored. Individual substations continue to be without power as they are still flooded. Work is underway to provide power through alternative circuits from neighboring substations to customers who received electricity from substation 595, which the element literally carried and destroyed to the foundations.

Medium voltage terminals are the “backbone” of the power distribution network. After its restoration, the efforts of the dozens of ENERGO-PRO teams in the area are aimed at eliminating the low-voltage accidents. The damage is hundreds, as water, mud and debris have flooded and damaged distribution cassettes and meter boards, among which there are deformed and seriously damaged, and others continue to be under water, making it impossible to put them under tension until the water is completely withdrawn and dried.

Representatives of ENERGO-PRO Networks took part in the work of the crisis headquarters at the municipality and throughout the night worked to coordinate the activities of the company's teams in the most affected area - quarter. Asparuhovo. Already in the first hours after the peak of the storm around 9 pm yesterday, the ENERGO-PRO teams were among the first to enter the neighborhood and immediately began work on clearing the debris, making access to the facilities and assessing the damage inflicted on the integrity of the network. The work did not stop all night. Since the unwinding today, additional teams and a large amount of off-road and specialized equipment are concentrated in Asparuhovo, and at any time more than 30 specialists of the company work there, who not only eliminate accidents on the facilities at maximum pace, but also help Civil Protection and residents of the neighborhood in clearing and removing obstacles on the street the people in the area.

ENERGO-PRO offered its assistance to the institutions and stated its readiness to assist with equipment and people for the faster recovery of the affected areas.
