In the first half of 2018, Elektrodistribuenie Sever invested nearly 80,000 leva in reconstruction and repair of the Leventa and Prista substations in the city of Ruse. The project is part of the company's investment program and aims to increase the quality and security of power supply to customers.

During the implementation of the project, the specialists of Elektrodistribuenie Sever renewed 110 kV current measuring transformers on the Russophili power line, which connects the two substations. The main and backup protection systems were replaced, the automation, control and signaling systems in the substations were updated. The rehabilitation and elements in both facilities are implemented using the latest technology and have better technical characteristics than the previous ones. The renovation will significantly shorten the response time in the detection of a fault in one of the two substations.

The installation of the new equipment and the elements of secondary switching in the two substations in Ruse will increase their reliability. Leventa and Prista are key to powering much of the Danube city. Thanks to the investment, nearly 32,000 residential and business customers of ENERGO-PRO will receive more secure electricity supply in the districts of Druzhba 1, Druzhba 2, Druzhba 3, Charodeyka North and South, as well as the Western Industrial Zone in Ruse.
