More than 650 energy professionals received training in the specialized training center of ENERGO-PRO in 2017

In the past year 2017, more than 650 current and newly appointed employees of ENERGO-PRO Networks underwent training at the Training Center of the Electricity Distribution Company in Varna. Thus, in the eight years of its existence, about 8,000 energy workers have passed through the halls and practical training ground of the specialized training center.

The trainings are in different thematic directions, and some of the courses are realized with the cooperation and participation of external lecturers. More than 200 employees, including newly appointed electricians, have completed a specialized course in 2017, including theoretical and practical parts. For this purpose, a number of specially built facilities are used at the base of the center. A training transformer post, a steel grid pole, as well as the so-called “baby line”, representing a lower copy of a real power line, provide the practical training of electricians.

In parallel with the mandatory program for newly appointed electricians, in 2017 the tradition of conducting trainings to increase the qualification of specialists of energy specialists from the electricity distribution company was preserved. The specialized courses implemented in the past year include practical preparation for working under voltage, working at height, providing first aid to a victim of electric current, planned and emergency maintenance of facilities from the power distribution network and others.

In addition to the training of the company's employees, the ENERGO-PRO Training Center in Varna is visited annually by pupils and students studying electrical engineering specialties. Last year, the Vocational School of Electrical Engineering and Electronics in Gorna Oryahovitsa and the electricity distribution company chose the festive November 1 — Day of the National Awakeners, to organize a visit of 20 students to the ENERGO-PRO Training Center. During the tour, the young people had the opportunity to enrich their theoretical and practical training and acquire useful knowledge in the field of energy in an environment close to the real one.

Since its opening in 2009 until now, the trainings carried out in the specialized center of ENERGO-PRO have always been aimed at achieving a high degree of professional skills and formation of work habits in the electrical specialists of the company. The knowledge gained during the training modules guarantees not only the safety of the employees themselves when working with electrical equipment, but also the quick and adequate response in case of failures on the power distribution network to ensure reliable power supply to ENERGO-PRO customers.
