Accident prevention in areas with difficult access to damaged facilities is still complicated

More than 600 employees of ERP North are still working today to eliminate the accidents on the electricity distribution network caused by the severe weather situation over the weekend. The emergency came after a sharp deterioration in the weather on Sunday, when heavy snowfall combined with hurricane-force winds caused multiple overhead power lines to break and poles on the EPP North network to break. Due to the large number of damaged facilities, the company has mobilized additional teams, but closed roads and the passage through agricultural land to many remote settlements continue to impede the access of EPR North employees to the damaged sections.

In the last two days, emergency teams have fixed accidents in hundreds of settlements. As of 17 hours on 28.11.2023, 98 remote settlements remain without power supply, 16,000 customers are affected. The heavy rain in the last hours will further hamper the activity of the teams of ERP North, which will continue to work until the complete elimination of all accidents on the network in North-East Bulgaria.

Up-to-date information about settlements with customers without electricity can be found at https://www.energo-pro.bg/bg/novini/naseleni-mesta-bez-elektrozahranvane.

For single addresses without a low-voltage power supply, customers of ERP North can send alerts to 0700 359 10 and 0700 161 61.
