New underground cable provides more reliable power supply in the area of Plano in Silistra

Employees of ENERGO-PRO in Silistra replaced a medium voltage cable. The reconstruction is part of the company's renovation program. Technical teams replaced 465 meters of 10-kilovolt cable between the streets “Yanko Todorov”, “Serev”, “Cap. Krastev “, “Granicar” and “Bogdan Voyvoda”.

The old cable is replaced with a new one, made using modern technology. This is a qualitatively new type of wire, which differs in its structure, insulation and reliability from the old ones. It is characteristic of it that it withstands a greater load in winter, when consumption traditionally increases.

The cost of the project is 15 000 BGN. Through the construction of this cable section, the connection between two different terminals of the Druster power line is restored. The new wire significantly reduces the risk of accidents and guarantees reliable power supply to nearly 600 domestic and commercial customers, which in the event of an emergency in the area can now be powered by a backup circuit.
