A new type of telephone abuse is being implemented in Varna — in recent months unknown persons pose as ENERGO-PRO employees and request personal data of people over the phone. Worried customers alerted the company. Fortunately, they did not succumb to the provocation and before sharing information with strangers, they sought assistance at the ENERGO-PRO telephone center.

We would like to point out that ENERGO-PRO has no practice of calling its customers by phone in order to collect or update their personal data. As the administrator of personal data, under the Personal Data Protection Act, ENERGO-PRO updates the information in its database in the Customer Service Centers and by e-mail requested by the customer, and by phone — only in cases where the client has requested the company himself and it is necessary to be identified before the requested information is provided to him.

Calls in which unknown persons impersonate ENERGO-PRO employees and ask for people's personal data are attempted fraud. The collection of personal data by natural or legal persons who are not registered as personal data controllers under the legal order creates conditions for abuse — for example, falsification of documents, etc. We advise our clients, if they receive such inquiries, to immediately call ENERGO-PRO 0700 1 61 61 61 and contact the authorities of the Ministry of Interior.

In case customers wish to update their data in the ENERGO-PRO system, they can use one of three ways — call the 24-hour telephone number 0700 1 61 61, send an e-mail to the e-mail address: service@energo-pro.bg or visit the nearest Customer Service Center.
