New methodology for determining the prices of GDP from 01.08.2021
The prices at which last resort suppliers (LSPs) sell electricity to final customers are determined in accordance with the Methodology adopted by the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC). As of 01.08.2021, a new Methodology for determining the electricity prices of the supplier of last resort comes into force (rev. DV, issue 60 of 20.07.2021), which introduces a different way of pricing.
In accordance with the Methodology, the price of electricity per DPI is determined after the expiration of the calendar month and receipt of validated measured values from the electricity distribution network operator. The price is individual for each place of consumption according to its load profile.
The cost of GDI for the calendar month for an object per customer is calculated on the basis of:
- the hourly electricity prices announced by the exchange operator in the market segment “Day ahead” with a weight in the calculation of 80%;
- the hourly prices of balancing energy for shortage declared by ESO EAD with a weight in the calculation of 20%;
- the load profile of the site provided by the network operator — measured hourly load profile for sites with hourly electricity metering, respectively calculated standardized load profile* for sites without hourly metering, according to which the approved measured values for the calendar month are determined;
- legally determined amount of mark-up.
Until 31.07.2021 ENERGO-PRO Sales AD sells electric energy at a price that is the same for all customers and is announced on the company's website. After 01.08.2021, due to the individual calculation of the price of electricity for each object, the price announcement for each respective month on the website is suspended.
