Since the beginning of the crisis, ENERGO-PRO has been working in sync with the institutions
The situation in the cities affected by the floods is normalized
For four days, emergency teams and specialists of ENERGO-PRO work together with teams of Fire Safety and Protection of the Population (PBUZN) to normalize the situation in the areas affected by the water element.
At the beginning of the disaster, on the morning of June 20, 28 medium-voltage power lines were turned off on the territory of North-Eastern Bulgaria. 23,124 customers were without electricity. Thanks to the hard round-the-clock work of the ENERGO-PRO and PBZN teams, at the end of the same day the power supply was restored to 19 000 of them. There were still 4,142 customers without electricity in the regions of Varna, Dobrich and Veliko Tarnovo. Emergency crews continued to work on weekends. On June 21 (Saturday) 718 customers were without electricity, of which 701 in the Dobrich region, where individual sections of the city continue to be under water and putting the facilities under voltage is technically unacceptable for the safety of people.
Today, the situation has improved significantly, but there are still places where the supply of electricity creates a risk to people's security.
In Varna, the power supply of all customers whose installations do not endanger the life and health of people was restored on Saturday, June 21. The housing cooperative at ul. Gorna Studena 48 in Asparuhovo district, which is located next to the completely destroyed substation 595, was fed on a temporary line. In individual houses, electricity is still turned off for security reasons. Power was restored to most of them on Friday and Saturday, but the circuit breakers subsequently turned off due to residual moisture on the installations. The company's teams continue to restore electricity to these addresses, where the safety of people is guaranteed.
In the city of Dobrich there are 2 substations without electricity, which supply electricity to 501 customers, mostly domestic. The situation in the area of the boulevard “Russia” and the humanitarian gymnasium was complicated by the fact that the drained substations were again filled with water that came from the soil around and flooded basements of buildings. In the event that no further complications arise, we expect a substation “Danube 3", which supplies about 440 customers in four blocks of Blvd. “Russia”, to be included by the end of today. The company's teams continue to clean distribution cassettes and meter boards in the units. In some places, they even have to clean common areas in entrances to reach the headboard, which takes extra time. Even more complicated is the situation with the substation “Kindergarten”, which feeds the area of the humanitarian high school in Dobrich. On the third day, PBUN teams drained the ground around the substation, but collected groundwater continued to invade there. ENERGO-PRO is ready to restore power to the substation once the area has been drained.
In Veliko Tarnovo, the situation is normalized. Without electricity, there is only one substation in Gorni Enyovtsi, where there is a landslide. There, teams continue to work on the full restoration of the facility.
The coordinated actions of the institutions created conditions for the phased elimination of damage to the electricity distribution network from the natural element.
ENERGO-PRO thanked the teams of Fire Safety and Protection of the Population, who helped to drain the electricity distribution facilities, as a result of which it became possible for their normal functioning and restoration of electricity supply to customers.
