Again abuses - unknown persons pose as employees of ENERGO-PRO and ask customers to pay their monthly bill to the company
Citizens alerted the call center of ENERGO-PRO about a new attempt at fraud. Unknown persons called by phone, posing as employees of the electricity distribution company and tried to convince people to pay their electricity bill in cash at the address. The scheme did not take place because the citizens notified ENERGO-PRO employees about the phone call and realized that an attempt was made to mislead them.
As ENERGO-PRO has already reported, the company does not send employees to the homes of its customers to collect amounts due for consumed electrical energy. This is contrary to the accepted practices of the company. Each customer can pay their electricity bill in cash only at the cash desks of ENERGO-PRO, Bulgarian Post, Information Service or EasyPay. After making the payment, it is registered in the company's system and the client is necessarily issued the corresponding payment document. The additional services that ENERGO-PRO offers can only be paid for in the Customer Service Centers.
We remind that the company also provides opportunities for cashless payment of obligations, thereby saving time and limiting cases of missed payment. More information about the methods and places of payment can be found on the company's website: https://www.energo-pro.bg/bg/Nachini-na-plashtane-Bitovi-klienti.
Once again, we would like to point out that calls in which unknown persons impersonate ENERGO-PRO employees and ask for the amounts due for electricity to be paid to the address are an attempt of fraud. We advise our clients who are in such a situation to immediately call the ENERGO-PRO telephone number 0700 1 61 61 61 to check if an ENERGO-PRO employee tried to contact them and contact the authorities of the Ministry of Interior.
