Lower electricity consumption during the New Year holidays compared to last year, ENERGO-PRO specialists registered
ENERGO-PRO customers consumed nearly 5% less electricity during the period 31 December - 3 January compared to the same days a year earlier. This is shown by the data of the company, which supplies electricity to 1.1 million consumers in the districts of Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Ruse, Silistra, Dobrich, Razgrad, Targovishte and Shumen. For the four weekends around the New Year, the total amount of electricity consumed by ENERGO-PRO customers was nearly 81 thousand megawatt hours. On the same days a year earlier, just over 85,000 megawatt hours were consumed. The most serious is the decline in consumption in Silistra region. Only in Razgrad region there is a higher electricity consumption compared to the same period a year ago.
Unlike last year's holidays, when the highest consumption was reported in the last hours of 2014, now electricity consumption was highest on January 3. We remind you that due to the warm weather in the days around Christmas, a decrease in electricity consumption was recorded again compared to the same period in 2014.
During the Christmas and New Year holidays, 74 ENERGO-PRO emergency teams were on full alert and quickly remedied all the damage that occurred to the electrical facilities in North-East Bulgaria. The company's accountants also worked during the holidays and reported the consumed electricity on the usual schedule in order to comply with the strictly regulated reporting deadline within 31 days.
