EP North invests half a million leva in medium-voltage overhead power lines in several Varna villages

As part of its investment and renovation program for 2024, Elektrodistribuenie Sever implements three sites in several rural areas in the municipalities of Provadia and Valchi dol. Rehabilitation is carried out at the Petrov dol and EVL Esenitsa, supplying the villages of Izvornik, Esenitsa, Kaloyan, Krakra, Petrov dol, Gabernica and Staroselets. The value of the funds provided for investment amounts to BGN 496 000.

The site near the village of Petrov dol is in two stages, the first has already been completed, and the second is being worked on and is planned to be completed by the end of September after the agricultural harvest. The rehabilitation of the air network involves the replacement of 50 reinforced concrete and 6 steel lattice pillars. Wire and insulation are also being replaced in a section of 6 kilometers in length. Four new open-mount sectional disconnectors (ROS) will be installed, as well as 2 remote-controlled units of type “MROS” at VEL Petrov dol and VEL Ereka.

On the Ysenica wind turbine from the Valchi dol substation, the activities have ended. In the rehabilitated section, 41 compromised reinforced concrete pillars, 1 steel lattice and 560 insulators were replaced. 8 new ROCs have been installed, which will ensure greater flexibility of the power supply circuit and ensure faster localization in case of failures, as well as a small number of disturbances for customers in case of planned outages.

With the investment made, the quality indicators of the supplied energy of hundreds of customers, which are powered by the two power lines, will be improved.

By the end of the year, modernization of the network is planned on power lines near the villages of Brestak, Metlicina, Barzitsa, Velichkovo, Nova Shipka, Grozdyovo and Tsarevtsi, where the replacement of the pillar network will also be carried out in order to increase the security of the electricity supply of customers.
