Position of ENERGO-PRO EAD in relation to the statements made by Varna Towers Ltd
In connection with a press release by Varna Towers Ltd., we would like to state that the communication apparently deliberately misleads representatives of the mass media, mixing two completely separate topics — the non-payment by Varna Towers Ltd. of the electricity bills to the company “EIA” .ON Bulgaria Sales AD and the inability of Varna Towers Ltd. to fulfill its contractual obligations to its tenant ENERGO-PRO EAD.
As the main tenant of office space in Varna Towers complex, ENERGO-PRO EAD (formerly known as E.ON Bulgaria EAD) inherited serious problems with the use of the premises as intended and with the quality of the service provided. Problems with air conditioning, hygiene, sanitary materials and leaks have accompanied the stay of the company's administration since the first days of its introduction in July 2011 and in practice constitute a systematic and serious failure to comply with a number of clauses in the rental and service contracts. On the part of the tenant, repeated attempts have been made to solve the problems, but to no avail. ENERGO-PRO EAD has terminated the lease agreements and related contracts and at the moment there are no outstanding obligations to its former landlord, because the company has paid the amounts due on all duly issued and duly received invoices so far. Against this background, Varna Towers Ltd.'s claims about payments delayed for months are, to put it mildly, slander, and hints and references to a soon expiring grace period under the contracts are groundless. Energo Pro EAD has already filed its claims for damages under the lease agreements and hopes that Varna Towers Ltd. will fulfill its media promise to ensure protection of the legal interests of all those affected.
