Representatives of “Albena” resort prevented the teams of ENERGO-PRO Grids from eliminating an accident on an electrical facility
Today, at 4:52am in the Dispatch Center of ENERGO-PRO Networks, a power outage was registered in part of the “Albena” resort. Immediately, the dispatcher on duty sends an emergency team to establish the cause of the interruption. It turns out that there is a breakdown on an underground cable line. At 5:30 a second team was sent to the scene. The specialists of ENERGO-PRO Networks determined that the fault occurred on an underground cable line between the substations “Fish-Fish” and “Zvezda”, owned by ENERGO-PRO Networks AD, supplying power to part of the complex.
At 7:01 a.m., power was restored to all customers via backup connections. In an accident, only the cable between the two substations remains. Given the importance of the facility, ENERGO-PRO Networks sent a cable laboratory that established the exact location of the damaged section of the underground line. The teams of the electricity distribution company took action to eliminate the accident on the cable, but their work was unlawfully hindered by representatives of the Albena resort.
We specify that the representatives of the “Albena” resort prevented the emergency teams from eliminating an accident that occurred in the licensed territory serviced by ENERGO-PRO Networks. The accident occurred on a cable that is part of the medium voltage network owned by ENERGO-PRO Networks. The company has documents certifying its ownership of this network. ENERGO-PRO Grids will file a complaint with the Regional Police Department for obstructing the emergency teams in fulfilling the license obligations of the electricity distribution company.
On Friday, May 15, ENERGO-PRO Networks found a number of violations of the company's licensing facilities, including numerous construction activities carried out in service areas of medium-voltage cable lines — including excavation in dangerous proximity to cables under tension. This creates a serious danger both for the electricity distribution facilities owned by ENERGO-PRO Grids, as well as for the employees and guests of the resort “Albena”.
The violations found are contrary to the right of ownership of ENERGO-PRO Networks and the current technical regulations. The specialists of the company prepared findings reports on the detected violations. ENERGO-PRO Grids will report all violations to the competent state and control authorities.
