Power line repair provides more stable power supply to more than 500 households in Balchik villages of Tsarichino, Gurkovo and Trigortsi

Residents of the villages of Tsarichina, Gurkovo and Trigortsi in the municipality of Balchik are meeting the winter with a more stable electricity supply after the power distribution company ENERGO-PRO Grids repaired the overhead power line that supplies electricity to the area. The company's teams replaced the insulators of twenty pillars with new silicone ones. With them, a breakdown of the insulation very rarely occurs, as a result of which the power line breaks down much less often. New metal brackets have also been installed, which are much stronger and weatherproof. The rehabilitated line of the power line, which starts from the Balchik substation, has a length of about 1200 meters.

By replacing the old insulation of the existing low voltage air network, our specialists provided more than 1,100 residents in the three villages with reliable electricity supply during the coming winter season.

The main livelihood of the people in this area is related to agriculture and tourism. Gurkovo is developing as a tourist destination with the characteristic “Guest Houses” and hunting tourism, which is becoming more and more relevant for the region. Thanks to the ENERGO-PRO teams, nearly 500 households in the village and many tourists will welcome the Christmas and New Year holidays warmly and brightly.

The terrain through which the power line passes is difficult to access and in case of a possible accident, a detour is made along the entire length of the route, which for the most part passes through fields and orchards. The outlet also supplies pumping station “Gurkovo”, which is very important for the water supply of the city of Dobrich. A prolonged power line shutdown due to an accident would make it difficult to supply water to nearly 94,000 residents in the city area. Rehabilitation of this section will significantly reduce the likelihood of damage to the joint.
