4.3% less electricity was consumed in Northeastern Bulgaria during Earth Hour
During the conservation initiative with millions of followers around the world “Earth Hour”, ENERGO-PRO customers consumed 4.3% less electricity from 20:30 to 21:30 on March 19 (Saturday) compared to an hour earlier the same day. Consumption during the initiative is 3% less compared to the same period of the previous day -18 March.
In support of the global trend for nature conservation, ENERGO-PRO implements innovative solutions to stimulate the consumption of green energy. In this regard, the company issues special certificates to consumers who have purchased electricity produced from renewable energy sources. The first holder of the Certificate of 100% Green Energy became the Kaufland retail chain.
The green energy certificates of ENERGO-PRO are based on the Guarantees of Origin issued by the Agency for Sustainable Energy Development. Each green energy certificate has a unique number, a certain period of validity and is kept in a public register, which is freely accessible and located on the company's website.
