The trend since 2012 that the company's customers consume more electricity in the month of August compared to the previous month is maintained

ENERGO-PRO data show that the company's domestic customers consumed an average of 7% more electricity in August compared to the previous month of July 2013. The average consumption for the reporting period, which includes days of both months (July and August) is 172.2 kWh. In comparison, the average consumption in the previous reporting period, including days from July and June, which the company recorded, was 11.1 kWh less, or 161.1 kWh. Thus, the average bill for a domestic customer for August 2013 is BGN 30.8. Part of the amount is calculated on the old prices for the days of July, and the rest - on the new ones, which came into effect from August 1 and covers consumption in August. For the July bills, where the invoices are calculated entirely on the old electricity prices, the average value is about BGN 2 lower — BGN 29.2. Thus, the difference in the average values of the bills in the two months is minimal and the increase in August is due to the higher consumption that the reports show.

A similar trend is marked by the data for 2012, when the difference in average consumption between the two months was about 10 kWh, and again the consumption in August was higher. At the same time, in the two summer months of 2012, ENERGO-PRO customers consumed more electricity compared to the same months of the current year 2013. For its consumption in August this year, the company's domestic customers will pay an average of 10% less compared to the same month last year.

The new invoices for August are characterized by two significant differences from those of July 2013. According to the price decision of the State Commission for Energy and Water Regulation of August 1, 2013, electricity prices for ENERGO-PRO customers decreased by about 3.5%. Due to the fact that the reporting period of the majority of customers covers days from both August and July, the last invoices issued by the company contain consumption for two separate periods. One shows the consumption for a certain number of days from July and the amount due for payment is calculated at the old prices, and the other period includes the corresponding number of days from August and the value of the amount due is calculated at the new prices approved by the DCEFR. The other difference in the content of the invoices for August 2013 relates to the price structure and is also in line with the decision of the state regulator. According to it, three of the components of the final electricity price are no longer shown in separate lines on invoices, as they were until 31 July 2013, but are included as a value in the “electricity price” component. These are the network services for green energy, high-efficiency cogeneration and non-recoverable costs. After this change, the invoices for consumed electricity already contain the following components:

Price for electricity according to tariffs — day and nightVoltage and access to the power transmission network high voltageTransmission on the electricity distribution network (medium and low voltage) Access to the electricity distribution network (medium and low voltage).

Every customer of the company can find a detailed explanation of the content and components in the electricity invoices they receive on the website of ENERGO-PRO at: http://www.energo-pro.bg/bg/Obyasnenie-na-kasov-bon-i-faktura. In addition, the company has developed an information material that gives detailed information on how a sample bill of BGN 100 is distributed among the different participants in the chain of production-transmission-distribution and supply of electricity. The information is available on the Internet address http://www.energo-pro.bg/bg/Kampanii, where all customers of the company can get acquainted with the “path of energy” and the distribution of money from the bills that they pay at the cash desks of ENERGO-PRO.
