Stork families got safe nests in Suhindol
ENERGO-PRO teams set up two platforms for stork nests in the town of Suhindol, Veliko Tarnovo region.
The poles of the power distribution network are one of the preferred nesting places for storks. Often they build their nests on electrical equipment, in close proximity to the wires. The view of the nests with the elegant birds is impressive and pleases the inhabitants of the settlements in which they “settle”. However, at the same time, a real danger is created both for the life of birds and for the power grid.
Spreading their wings, birds sometimes rest the wires and cause a short circuit, thereby endangering their lives and causing power supply disruptions in the settlement. This makes it necessary to take measures to secure them.
This is exactly what happened in the town of Suhindol, Veliko Tarnovo district, where two stork families built their homes on the pillars. Driven by the desire to keep the birds from the protected species and to prevent accidents on the network, the teams of ENERGO-PRO Networks installed platforms with which they raised the nests at a safe distance from the wires. Thus, storks acquired new, stable housing, where they can safely raise their offspring.
