ENERGO-PRO specialists replaced a section of cable damaged during excavation activities in Gabrovo

Teams of ENERGO-PRO Networks repaired a section of ten-kilovolt cable line, which provides reliable power supply to the areas near the stadium “V. Aprilov” in Gabrovo. The cable line is part of the Aleko power line scheme and, if necessary, provides backup connections to terminals of three substations - “Balkan”, “Gabrovo” and “Sinkevica”.

The cable was damaged during the projects of gasification and renovation of the water supply network in Gabrovo. During excavation work, only the insulation of the cable was affected, therefore, initially, the failure did not lead to interruptions or interruptions in the power supply. Later, when moisture has seeped into the cable, the damaged section becomes unfit for operation.

The emergency teams of ENERGO-PRO carried out the repair in sub-zero temperatures and piercing icy cold wind to ensure reliable electricity supply to 4200 households in Gabrovo.
