With the assistance of ENERGO-PRO kindergarten “Alen Mak” in Gorna Oryahovitsa created a “Green activity room” for outdoor education

Today, the new corner for outdoor activities in the courtyard of the Gorno-Oryakhov kindergarten “Alen Mak” was officially opened. The materials for its creation were purchased with financial assistance within the framework of the ENERGO-PRO initiative for society. For the little ones, tables with benches, a blackboard for conducting lessons in the open air, a flipchart, a hanging umbrella and two chess tables with a total value of nearly 5,000 leva are provided. Thus, the little graduates of the educational institution will be able to learn new knowledge and skills in a pleasant and healthy environment in nature. Guests of the event were Deputy Mayor Humanitarian Activities of the Municipality of Gorna Oryahovitsa, Mr. Grigor Minkov and Pencho Minchev, Manager of Distribution Service Center Gorna Oryahovitsa and Gabrovo.
“Conducting outdoor activities has a good effect on the health and well-being of children and teachers. Studying outside provokes the natural curiosity of our young graduates and acts as an antidote to the stress and anxiety to which we are all exposed lately,” said Mrs. Madlena Georgieva, director of the kindergarten. “I am extremely happy that ENERGO-PRO chose to financially support our project. Thanks to them, we have been able to build a corner that will help improve the physical and mental development of our children and for their personal development. I congratulate ENERGO-PRO for the noble initiative they are carrying out in support of local communities”.
The project for “Green Activity” in DG “Alen Mak” is one of the three approved so far in Veliko Tarnovo district. The first implemented in the ENERGO-PRO initiative for society was the one for an interactive playground in DG Zdravets in the village of Parvomaytsi. A project has already been financed for the construction of a Sensory Corner in DG “Prolet”, Bulgaria. Veliko Tarnovo, and its implementation is yet to come.
The “ENERGO-PRO for Society” initiative was launched in September last year and is based on supporting local communities in the implementation of projects for sustainable development and well-being of various social groups. So far, 13 proposals from different institutions have received support, and the total amount provided for their implementation is over BGN 60,000. The initiative of the energy company is open throughout the year, and the maximum funding that a project can receive is BGN 5,000.
