Students from the University of Ruse visited the Center substation in the city
A group of students from the 4th year of the University of Ruse “Angel Kanchev” together with their scientific supervisor were once again guests at the Ruse - Center substation in the Danube city.
During the visit, the future energy engineers got acquainted with the specific 110 kilovolt system — with a bus system and switching facilities operating in an elegasized environment, which distinguishes the substation from other substations owned by ERP North. They were presented with the features of the key facility for the city of Ruse. Being located in the central part of the city, the Ruse - Center substation is compact in size, and at the same time supplies electricity to more than 15,000 companies and households.
Over the past few years, the electricity distribution company has invested more than BGN 200,000 for the modernization and maintenance of the Ruse substation.
The fourth-year students were shown the updated relay protections and the state-of-the-art secondary switching, and the visit ended in the command room of the substation, where the students examined relay and control panels, through which protection, control and control over the status and operation of the modules in the substation are carried out.
After the tour at the Ruse - Center substation in the city, the guests expressed satisfaction and gratitude to the team of the electricity distribution company for the opportunity provided to get acquainted in real conditions with the equipment and the way of operation of the specific facility. Thus, after the visit made earlier in the year to the Dispatch Center of ERP North in Ruse, the company has followed the tradition of welcoming future energy engineers to its facilities and introducing young people to the peculiarities of working in them.
