Students from the University of Ruse visited the dispatch center of Elektrodistribuenie Sever in the city for another year
On March 8, the Network Management Center of Elektrodistribuenie North in Ruse again welcomed a group of students from Ruse University “Angel Kanchev”. The young people studying in the specialty “Electrical Power Engineering and Electrical Equipment” had the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of the dispatching center of the electricity distribution company serving Northeastern Bulgaria.
The Regional Senior Dispatcher of Elektrodistribuenie Sever told the future energy engineers and their scientific supervisor, Assoc. Prof. Konstantin Koev presentation on the profession of dispatchers and the functioning of special equipment. The fourth-year students were presented with the procedure of managing the electricity distribution network in the districts of Ruse and Razgrad and the single-line dispatching scheme of the electricity distribution networks in the region was explained.
The most impressive moment of the practical lesson for the students was the automated remote control and telemechanics system and the real-time data capture system, which provide the possibility of remote control and administration of the facilities from the electricity distribution network on the territory of both districts.
The visit of students studying in the field of energy, to the dispatch centers of Elektrodistribuenie Sever and the facilities owned by the company, is part of a long-standing tradition of welcoming future specialists in real working conditions. In April, the group of students is planned to visit the most important facility for the region — the Center substation in Ruse.
The visits to sites of Elektrodistribuenie Sever organized jointly with the higher educational institution in the Danube city enable future energy engineers to support their theoretical training with useful practical knowledge and to get to know first-hand some specific features of the electricity distribution network in the region.
