The manager of ENERGO-PRO met with the mayors of municipalities of Ruse region
During the meeting, the financial situation of the company and the opportunities for development of the electricity infrastructure in the area were presented
Yesterday, February 05, the Governor of ENERGO-PRO, Stefan Abadzhiev, met with mayors of municipalities from Ruse region. The meeting was also attended by Hristofor Filev, Manager of Distribution Service Center (ROC) Ruse. The topic of the meeting was the state of the electricity infrastructure in the Ruse region and the possibilities for its development after the three price decisions of last year of the State Commission for Energy and Water Regulation (DCEVR). The quality of electricity supply in the area and the investments needed in 2014 to ensure secure electricity supply to citizens and businesses in the region were discussed.
During the meeting, the manager of ENERGO-PRO presented information about the investments made in the last few years in the territory of Ruse region. In the period since 2006, the company has invested more than BGN 27 million in the development and improvement of the electricity distribution network in the area. This figure is part of the actual financing through the price of electricity in those years and is approximately 34% less than the amount declared by the company to the DKEVR, which the company planned to invest in order to ensure higher security and quality of supply to all settlements in the Ruse region. Mr. Abadzhiev quoted to the mayors the financial parameters of the company's activities in 2014 and commented that from a financial point of view ENERGO-PRO was placed in survival mode. In practice, this means a contraction of the company's investment program, which will inevitably lead to an increase in the emergency, technological cost for facilities, due to a decrease in the volume of their rehabilitation and replacement, and ultimately will not contribute to an increase in the quality of energy supply in the region. Moreover, the reduction in investments in recent years will affect the state of the electricity distribution network in the region, and in the coming years the company and customers will face the consequences of not imposed in 2013 and 2014.
During the discussion, Mr. Abadzhiev and Mr. Filev answered numerous questions from mayors, chief architects and representatives of municipal administration. Topics related to the customer service of the company and the implementation of the investment projects of the municipalities in interaction with the mayor's administrations were discussed. The representatives of the ENERGO-PRO management made a commitment to the mayors and representatives of municipalities present at the meeting to take concrete actions on the signals submitted by them to solve individual problems of both the municipalities in the Ruse region and all residents in the district.
