The manager of ENERGO-PRO met with the residents of the Shumen villages Tsarev brod and Velino
The manager of ENERGO-PRO Varna Stefan Abadzhiev met with the residents of the villages of Tsarev brod and Velino, Shumen region. During the meetings on March 13, which were a joint initiative of the electricity company and the Ombudsman of Shumen, Ivan Kapralov, a wide range of issues related to electricity pricing, the state of the sector and the electricity supply of the two villages were discussed in dialogue with the people. The meeting on behalf of the electricity company was attended by Maria Dimitrova, Director Customer Service and Sasho Arsov, responsible for the network area. The manager Stefan Abadzhiev familiarized the people with the legislative and regulatory framework in which the company carries out its activity of distribution and supply of electricity on the territory of North-East Bulgaria. Residents of the village of Tsarev Brod and the village of Velino asked questions about the components of electricity bills, payment terms, maintenance and reporting of metering devices, as well as numerous private questions concerning individual customers. The issue of the need to renovate the facilities in separate sections of the network in the two villages was discussed in detail. The manager of the electricity company explained what improvements have been made in recent years to the electricity distribution network in Tsarev Brod and Velino and paid special attention to the investments that in 2013 the company had planned, but failed to implement, due to financial the restrictions resulting from the three reductions in the price of electricity last year. Stefan Abadzhiev discussed with the villagers specific issues about the state of the vulnerable sections of the network in the two villages and said that an analysis and prevention of the facilities will be carried out. He explained that in the 1960s, 1970s, rural networks were designed for far less consumption, and nowadays almost every family uses equipment that requires more power. In order to permanently solve the issue, it is necessary to increase the power of the power supply facilities, reconstruct the network, build new substations, reduce the length of power lines. “These are all measures that require significant investment. I sincerely hope that this year the State Commission for Energy and Water Regulation will recognize our investment costs. This will give us the opportunity to renovate the facilities in the vulnerable sections of the network,” added Mr. Abadzhiev. While the discussion was going on in each of the villages, an office of ENERGO-PRO worked in the building of the local community center, where a customer service specialist advised visitors on issues related to electricity consumption. Residents took advantage of the presence of the team to submit documents for various services of the company and thus avoid traveling to any of the cities where there are customer service centres. The participants in the meetings expressed their satisfaction at the opportunity to discuss the issues that concern them, in a direct conversation with the management of ENERGO-PRO. They expressed their desire to organize such meetings and offices of the company on a regular basis. The residents of both villages thanked the Ombudsman of Shumen, Mr. Ivan Kapralov, for his commitment in organizing the initiative. They were joined by Mr. Abadzhiev, who stressed that he highly appreciates the active public position of the Ombudsman of Shumen and the energy with which he affirms this very important institution. At the end of the meetings, the manager of ENERGO-PRO addressed the people: “For me, these meetings were very important and useful. I wanted to hear from you, put the questions that concern you directly in front of me and try to answer you comprehensively.
