The Management Board of ENERGO-PRO informed the Mayor of Dobrich about the planned investments in the district network for 2022.

ENERGO-PRO will invest nearly BGN 6 million in the electricity distribution network of Dobrich district this year, compared to BGN 5.65 million in 2021. The managers of the energy company presented more detailed data on specific objects of the investment program for 2022 at a meeting initiated with the mayor of the city of Dobrich Jordan Yordanov, part of a previously planned tour in Northeastern Bulgaria to improve cooperation with the local government. Investments include the construction of a new network in rapidly growing areas, rehabilitation of facilities and renovation of an existing network, as well as the installation of bird protection devices in the region through which the Via Pontica bird flyway passes.
The protection of the life and health of birds during their stay in the country is among the important priorities in the implementation of the activities of the electricity distribution company in the Group. Main directions in this activity are the installation of nesting platforms for storks in order to move them away from the current-carrying parts of power distribution facilities, as well as the installation of bird guards and spacers, of which in 2021 more than 300 pieces were installed in the region.
The Governors of ENERGO-PRO thanked Mr. Yordanov for the support provided to the LIFE project for the preservation of biodiversity. The municipality has expressed readiness to share experience and best practices in project activities and participate in a sustainability plan. The goal of the initiative is to protect endangered bird species from electric shocks, among them are the curly-headed pelican, small white-fronted goose, red-footed falcon, large crested eagle and others.
The management of ENERGO-PRO discussed with the Mayor of Dobrich other current topics of the company's activities, using the occasion to discuss working solutions for the settlement of the debt for consumed electricity of Dobrich water supply in the amount of over BGN 2 million. Obligations of a similar amount in arrears severely hamper the implementation of ERP North's operational activities and lead to deepening liquidity problems. Concrete steps are also expected for the repayment of the debt after a commitment to assistance by the MRRB as the principal of the plumbing company.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides reaffirmed their commitment to cooperation in the future.
