All requests for joining the EPP North network in Shumen Industrial Park have been fulfilled

As part of their tour in the regional cities of North-Eastern Bulgaria, the Governors of ENERGO-PRO met with the local authorities in Shumen and Silistra. Among the most important topics on the agenda was the issue of the available capacities of the electricity distribution company in Industrial Park Shumen. It was stated that EPP North currently has the necessary capacity to join new customers. In all cases, the growth rates of this industrial area of the city are fundamental to anticipate the future development of the network in the area, since it is associated with additional investment and service that requires planning and time. An active dialogue will be maintained with the Mayor of Shumen Lyubomir Hristov on the subject, given the dynamic geopolitical situation.

The governors presented to the mayors of the cities of Shumen and Silistra the investment program for 2022. The planned investments in the network this year amount to BGN 4.34 million in the Shumen region and BGN 2.1 million in the Silistra region. In Shumen, it is planned to repair a low-voltage network in the district. “Divdyadovo” and cottage areas “Chashka”, “Ovcharnik” and “Baichov Kladenets”. Rehabilitation of the network is also forthcoming at ul. “Union” in the city. In Silistra, ERP North will renovate facilities in key substations in the city and other settlements in the area.

At the meeting between the management of ENERGO-PRO and the local government in the city of Shumen, the situation with “Water Supply and Sewerage — Shumen” was discussed. On the one hand, the water supply company is irregular in paying electricity bills, which, due to the specifics of a large consumer, quickly accumulate and lead to a financial burden for the energy company. This forces ENERGO-PRO to enter the role of a creditor, while leading to delays in payments to suppliers such as ESO, NEC, etc. On the other hand, the overhead power line “Beliyat Bair”, which provides water for the city of Beli Bair. Shumen and several other settlements, is owned by “B and K” company, which refuses to repair and service it. Not infrequently, after a fault occurred on the power line, “V and K” Shumen used the case to justify to the media for the lack of water with accidents at ERP North, which does not correspond to the actual situation. ERP North eliminates any accident that occurs with its own resources and at its own expense.

The other topics on which the ENERGO-PRO management discussed at the meetings with the mayors of Shumen and Silistra — Lyubomir Hristov and Julian Naydenov, were the activities on investments in renewable energy projects, the priority areas of the territory with bird protection devices installed on the electricity distribution network, and others.
