The sudden strong storms today led to emergency situations on the air power distribution network and to the difficulty of supplying electricity to a number of settlements in the territory of North-East Bulgaria. Multiple broken power poles and dilapidated infrastructure engaged more than 110 company duty crews to work to restore facility operations throughout the day. Thanks to the immediate intervention of EPP North electricians, the power supply in many of the affected areas has now been restored. Due to the dynamic weather situation in the country, secondary emergencies and interruptions still occur, many of them short-lived due to triggered protections of the facilities, which prevents greater damage. All activities on the network are coordinated by the round-the-clock dispatch centers, in the emergency situation the management staff of the electricity distribution company is also involved.

As of 18:00, 88 are the settlements with difficult electricity supply. Field teams are on duty and restoration work on damaged facilities continues.
