Closed roads and accidents on the ESO electricity network hinder the restoration of electricity supply in North-East Bulgaria
As of 11 am on November 27, 124 thousand customers of ENERGO-PRO in 551 settlements are without electricity.
More than 100 emergency teams of Elektrodistribuenie North are working on the elimination of numerous accidents on the network due to the severe weather situation.
Heavy snowfall and stormy winds caused hundreds of accidents on the electricity distribution network in Northeastern Bulgaria. Icy power lines and fallen trees caused a number of damage to facilities and severed wires in sections of the grid. All the emergency teams of Elektrodistribuenie Sever are mobilized and working intensively under unprecedented weather conditions, but closed or difficult roads in some sections make access difficult and delay the restoration of electricity supply. The work of the employees of ERP North is also complicated by a number of accidents on the high-voltage power grid. The company works in coordination with the ESO crisis headquarters and the local government.
Access to the ERP North 24-hour telephone center on 0700 161 61, 0700 359 10 and the additional emergency telephone 0897006601 is also difficult due to the large number of customers trying to report an emergency.
