According to the amendments to the Energy Law adopted at the beginning of the summer, from October 1, 2020, all non-domestic electricity consumers in Bulgaria should enter the market at freely negotiated prices. From this date, the transition period of compulsory liberalization began, which will last until 30 June 2021.

As of 01.10.2020, 56,000 or 38% of non-residential objects in North-East Bulgaria are registered on the free market with individual contracts. The remaining 62% switch from delivery on a regulated market to delivery under the terms of a type contract to ENERGO-PRO Sales, which will be valid during the transition period. In comparison, the average prices in the company's standard contract are lower than the average prices paid to non-domestic customers in a regulated market so far.

In the last three months of the change in the Energy Law, 14,000 objects of non-residential customers of ENERGO-PRO Sales, subject to liberalization, have taken steps and switched to delivery by a trader on the liberalized market. The process is dynamic and this percentage increases on a daily basis, with customers choosing from nearly 50 electricity suppliers, including the ENERGO-PRO trading company on the open market.

Non-residential customers of ENERGO-PRO Sales who do not conclude a contract for the supply of electricity on the liberalized market by June 10, 2021, will switch from July 1, 2021 to the Supplier of Last Instance.

More information on the model contract and the supply of electricity after 1 October for non-selected traders on the free market is published on the Internet https://energo-pro-sales.bg/bg/za-klienta/klienti-na-svoboden-pazar/dostavka-na-elektricheska-energija-na-nebitovi-klienti-sled-01-10-2020-g.
