The companies that form the industrial core of the international group from the Czech Republic ENERGO-PRO will modernize one of the most famous pumped tank hydroelectric power plants in Austria. The Slovenian company Litostroy Power and the Czech company Blansko Engineering will replace two turbines in the Limberg I hydroelectric power plant in the world-famous ski resort of Kaprun in the federal province of Salzburg. The companies are also preparing the modernization of two turbines at the Hoysleing hydroelectric power plant in Tyrol.

“The creative approach of the engineers from Blanco, together with the traditionally high quality of the hydro-turbine installations produced by Lithostroy, proved decisive in the choice of contractor and our companies were supported by Ferbund, the operator of the power plants in Austria. Especially in the case of Hoysleing HPP, we offered a unique solution for new impellers and proved that with them we will be able to increase the efficiency of the turbines,” said Pavel Vanya, CEO of the ENERGO-PRO Group.

As part of the reconstruction of the 180-megawatt turbines at the Hoysling HPP, impellers will be replaced, which aims to increase the efficiency of the plant by more than 1.5%. At Limberg I, the project plans to replace two Francis type reversible turbines with new ones with a capacity of 80 megawatts each.

The ENERGO-PRO Group is a leading international operator of hydroelectric power plants. Over the past few years, the company has focused on strengthening its industrial activity. Thanks to the production in the town of Lithostroy and the development of engineering solutions in Blansko, ENERGO-PRO maintains the required high level in the engineering activity of Central Europe.
