ENERGO-PRO supported with investments a project of the Municipality of Byala, Varna region, to improve the appearance of the central part of the city

The electricity distribution company provided materials worth more than 24 000 BGN

ENERGO-PRO supported a project of the Municipality of Byala (Varna Region) to improve the appearance of the town of Byala, which includes the expansion of the central part of the city through the construction of new streets in the district “Byala-Iztok”. Assistance from the electricity distribution company was agreed by the Mayor of Byala Municipality, Mr. Anastas Trendafilov, the manager of ENERGO-PRO Varna, Mr. Stefan Abadzhiev and Mr. Martin Mirchev, member of the Management Board of ENERGO-PRO Networks, during a meeting in November.

The financing of the project of Byala Municipality was won under the Rural Development Programme 2007-2013. For its successful implementation, it is necessary to shift the existing underground power lines owned by ENERGO-PRO Grids, as well as the construction of new facilities. After the meeting with the Mayor of Byala, Mr. Trendafilov, the management of ENERGO-PRO decided to provide the Municipality with the necessary materials for the construction of the new networks with a total value of more than 24 000 BGN free of charge.

The project envisages the construction of new canal networks, cable shafts at the newly built intersections and the laying of modern, underground power lines. ENERGO-PRO will provide free of charge to the Municipality new low-voltage cables with a total length of more than 1.2 km, more than 100 pieces of NC couplings, 3 pieces of cable cabinets, 8 pieces of grounding devices and 80 pieces of cable bolted shoes. The electricity distribution company will also provide technical supervision to ensure the successful implementation of the construction and repair activities, in accordance with the quality standards in the construction of electricity distribution networks.

“We were impressed by the project for renovation of the center of Byala, which Mayor Atanas Trendafilov presented to us in November,” said Mr. Stefan Abadzhiev. “Despite the difficult situation in which the regulatory framework in Bulgaria places us, after analysis, we decided to actively cooperate for the implementation of the ambitious initiative. To make this possible, we have redirected funds earmarked for other activities in the company. The project will improve the vision of an important tourist area and ultimately attract more tourists to the city. ENERGO-PRO always strives to support initiatives that change the appearance of settlements and improve the quality of life of people. In the future, we will continue to provide maximum assistance to such investment projects that develop the infrastructure on the territory of North-East Bulgaria”, added the manager of ENERGO-PRO.
