The Electricity Distribution Company in Northeastern Bulgaria renovated a 6-kilometer section of the route of the Ignatievo overhead power line (EVL), supplying the town of Ignatievo and the Dobrogled villa zone, which are located 13 km west of the city of Varna. Well Ignatievo supplies electricity to the settlements with a total of 4800 inhabitants and its rehabilitation was carried out according to the parameters set out in the repair program of ERP North for the replacement of elements of the electricity distribution facilities. New poles of reinforced concrete and iron lattice type were installed, consoles, insulators and chains were replaced. As a measure to prevent accidents due to wind-entangled wires, 288 spacers have been installed. Additionally, in order to protect the life and health of feathered species, 72 sets of bird protection devices are installed. The investment made by the company amounts to BGN 140,000.

The town of Ignatievo along with the village Dobrogled, Varna region, are among the settlements with population growth due to the coronavirus pandemic in the last two years. The funds invested in the electricity distribution network of the area are part of the consistent policy of ERP North for the renovation of facilities in the villas and suburban areas on the outskirts of larger cities. The rehabilitation carried out will provide better quality and secure power supply for electricity users in the indicated settlements, given the expected deterioration of weather conditions in the winter months of the year.
