Employees of ERP North assisted in the safe construction of a stork nest in the village of Brashlen in Ruse

A stork pair started building a nest on a pole of the power grid of the Ruse village of Brashlen in Slivo Pole municipality. The pole is pre-secured with bird guards by specialists of the electricity distribution company, but despite the danger, storks prefer precisely the poles for nest shrinkage. The proximity of the socket to the electrical equipment caused several interruptions in the power supply. This necessitated the urgent intervention of teams of ERP North in order to prevent a situation unfavorable to the health and life of the birds, as well as to stop the inconvenience for customers from the power line being disconnected. A bird protection platform was installed in a timely manner, after which the storks proceeded to build the nest.

In the spring-summer season, such safety measures in the sections of the network with stork nests are carried out only in urgent cases, such as the current one. The main reason is not to disturb the birds during their breeding season.
