Deteriorated weather conditions caused new damage to the electricity distribution network in North-East Bulgaria

The deteriorating weather conditions caused new damage to the power distribution network of ENERGO-PRO. As of 18:30 yesterday, the settlements that were without electricity were reduced to 27, but as a result of the new accidents that did not stop occurring at night, as of 10:00 today they became 81 villages. The most affected is the territory of Veliko Tarnovo and Gabrovo districts, where 24 and 17 settlements are respectively without electricity. The situation worsened again in the districts of Ruse, where 9 settlements are without electricity, and Razgrad — with 17 settlements without electricity. In Targovishte region there are 5 settlements without electricity.

On the second day, the teams of ENERGO-PRO Grids continuously repaired damage to the facilities and restored the power supply to nearly 200 settlements, but at the same time new failures occurred, which cut off the power supply in other areas. In the event that there is no further deterioration of the weather conditions, causing further damage, we expect that the power supply to all settlements will be restored within the day.
